Westport, CT – [August 22, 2025] – Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids International announced today a major expansion partnership with Meijer Grocery Chain to open 60–70 new Sharkey’s Hair It Is family salons inside Meijer stores across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, & Wisconsin.
The collaboration builds on a long-standing relationship between the two companies, which has already proven successful in serving families throughout the region. With this new arrangement, Meijer & Sharkey’s are set to deliver a fun, convenient, family-friendly salon experiences to tens of thousands of shoppers (kids & adults).

Sharkey’s Hair It Is family salon offers an entertainment-packed atmosphere for kids—complete with cartoons, video games, and fun character chairs—while also delivering high-quality, professional salon services for adults. This unique blend of fun and sophistication makes Sharkey’s the go-to destination for families who want an enjoyable and efficient haircut experience.
A First-of-its-Kind Expansion Opportunity
Beginning September 1, 2025, Sharkey’s will begin offering multi-unit franchise opportunities within Meijer locations. With the goal of awarding 60–70 new salons by November 1, 2025, available locations will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
