Children's Franchise Industry Keeps Growing -by Ed Teixeira The old adage in business that "People will always spend money on kids and pets" is as true today as ever, especially when it comes to franchises geared to children. We reviewed children’s franchise programs over the past three years. The growth in the number of locations was strong in spite of the "Great Recession". In addition, approximately 20% of children’s franchises started after 2008 with a number of them having been in business for more than 5 years. This can be considered an indication of just how popular this franchise segment is. 2014 - Children's Services Report - by Jeff Lefler, founder and CEO of FranchiseGrade The children's services franchise sector is one of the fastest growing sectors within the franchise industry. From our Sample of 106 children's services franchise systems, this sector has seen franchised outlets increase by 12.1% since 2010. Sharkey's Cuts for Kids Business is all about "Hugging Your Customers", says CEO Scott Sharkey Our vision is that anyone that becomes a customer of our salons enters an enduring relationship with us. He or she instantly becomes our friend. That's our motto: "Once a customer, always a friend." It's been that way since the day the doors opened, and it will always be that way. It's clear to me that customers are thirsting for relationship-driven companies. They want to be coddled. They like it when they are smiled at. They appreciate thank-you notes. And great employees want to work for relationship-driven companies. Those companies are more successful because relationship selling inevitably leads to higher productivity and high profitability. In a relationship-driven company, it's a lot more fun to go to work in the morning. And we want to have fun!
