Scott & Linda are not just Franchisors, they are now our friends

"Jane and I are the longest running franchisees in the Sharkey’s family. We found Sharkey’s after looking for a business of our own. We ran through the countless food chains and decided against them. We started looking at the salon business. We were trying to figure out how they worked and more importantly, how they made money. After checking through many quick “chop shops”, high dollar women salons and guy-only ones, we stumbled upon Sharkey’s on a website. With a little background in computers, I dug into the Kids Salon industry. We looked at countless franchises and after narrowing them down, we came back around to Sharkey’s. Sharkey’s was the one that had the widest age range (0-13), was built for both boys and girls, and had the color scheme that was crazy enough that we thought each kiddo would love it. We signed with Scott and Linda into their small family at the time. We opened our first store in August of 2007 and then our second store opened in October of 2010. We are currently looking to open our third store in San Antonio before Spring Break.

The business has been wonderful and we’ve learned much more about how to run it through the years. Many things have changed in the stores but our focus has never changed. We work to be the very definition of “WOW” in the Kids Salon industry. We try to give every customer an experience, not just a haircut. We LOVE our staff and they are our family. Our staff is the reason that we are successful, THEY ARE THE BEST in the business! We are HUGE supporters of our community in helping with elementary school carnivals, YMCA events, Silent Auctions, and making a child’s day that the Children’s Hospital with a new ‘do or a makeover.

Why we chose to be with Sharkey's

Sharkey’s has been a fun experience that we would not trade. All three of our kids have worked in the store as receptionists and party hostesses. Scott and Linda are not just the Franchise Owners, they are now our friends. We’ve watched each other’s kids grow up.
